Bauhaus will reopen at the end of May 2022

After months of work to prepare our relocation project, we’re finally happy to announce that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We should be able to reopen Bauhaus in late May. That’s right, in less than two months, you will be able to discover the new Bauhaus, that 599 of you supported in our crowdfunding campaign last year.

It’s been a long way since our first preparation steps: we started working on the project as soon as the crowdfunding was over, in summer last year. We encountered many unexpected difficulties, that you told you about in previous updates – from coronavirus infections of our team to logistics issues and unexpected technical problems.

But finally, we managed last month to find a construction company able to meet our expectations and respect our budget, and we finally started the construction of the new Bauhaus.

We can’t wait to welcome you all here. If you’re in Japan, be ready for our reopening – stay tuned on our website and social media for updates on the exact date. If you’re not in Japan, we will be awaiting for your visit as soon as Japan reopens its borders for foreign visitors.

If you supported our crowdfunding campaign and your rewards included Bauhaus experiences (pre-opening event, rock lessons, Bauhaus staff experience, etc.), keep an eye on your mailbox in the coming weeks: as the reopening date approaches, we will be able to share more information about how you will be able to benefit from your rewards.

Nothing can stop rock’n’roll, and we will prove it in a few weeks with the grand comeback of Bauhaus, after more than two years of forced closure. Thank you again to everyone who supported us during these difficult times. And if you can’t wait for May to see the Bauhaus band on stage, don’t forget that you can enjoy our Renthaus tour in Tokyo – resuming from 2nd April!
