Bauhaus relocation update – September 2021

Dear friends and supporters, we are sorry for the long silence since the end of our crowdfunding campaign last month. We’ve been very busy with our relocation and the preparation of the rewards for our crowdfunding supporters. But as the end of September is approaching, we thought it was time for us to let you know where we are now.

Cleaning our old venue

Before moving to our new location, we had to take care of the old one, as our lease was ending this summer. We sorted all our equipment, getting rid of the unnecessary stuff, and moving everything else to a temporary storage. When the new location is ready to receive our equipment, we will move everything again and set it up on our new stage, to get ready to rock for you again! The whole staff of Bauhaus is putting a lot of energy in this – this musical equipment is our soul!

Preparation of crowdfunding rewards

In parallel to collecting your personal information to ship your rewards, we made sure that the products you will receive are the best quality we can offer.

  • Mini towels: after examining various designs and consulting with the manufacturer, we finally received the final product – a special edition with the signatures of all Bauhaus members on it, as promised!
  • 40th Anniversary stickers: as you may already know, the design for this sticker – also used on the t-shirts and polos (see below) – has been made by our bassist and vocalist KJ. We have now received the stickers, and they look very cool!
  • 40th Anniversary t-shirts: the production is currently in progress, after discussions with Matsubun company, a Japanese manufacturer established in 1939. As you know, they are produced in black and white versions. We will receive them soon.
  • 40th Anniversary polo shirts: the creation of the polo shirt, with its unique embroidered patch, took 5 times longer than usual. They are also made by Matsubun company. We will receive them soon.

We can’t wait to ship all these items to you!
We will also soon be ready to create the acknowledgement page with the supporters names on our website.

As for the other rewards (digital rewards or experiences), please stay tuned for more information!

Video performances on YouTube

As we are currently without any venue where we can perform, even for livestreams, we thought about how to stay connected with you. Every Friday at 9:00pm (Tokyo time) until our reopening, we will premiere a music video performance on our YouTube channel. It can be a highlight of one of our past livestream show, an exclusive acoustic performance recorded in our new venue under construction, or other surprises! Here’s the video we published last Friday – a backstage cover of About a Girl (Nirvana) and Cat Scratch Fever (Ted Nugent), by KJ and Tsubasa.

We will open a chat room, with Bauhaus members participating, on our YouTube channel when we release a new video. Please join us every Friday night at 9:00pm, and don’t forget to subscribe to our channel to not miss any of our new videos!

Thanks a lot for your continued support! We can’t wait to reopen and welcome you again. Until then, stay tuned on our social media, website and newsletter!
